FAVORIT is the name of the solution with which the German Federal Office of Administration (BVA) is managing its processes and files electronically. The BVA is also offering the software developed by T-Systems to other government offices free of charge.
With FAVORIT®OfficeFlow, BVA employees can process documents such as BAföG (student loans granted by the German government) applications electronically. The system's pre-configured work processes guide employees through all steps, all the way to document archiving. The BVA has already digitalized over 90 million pages with FAVORIT. T-Systems and the BVA adjusted the application's GUI to the BVA's typical work processes and fully integrated the end-to-end solution into Microsoft Office.
30 federal offices use FAVORIT
Several thousand authority employees in Germany are already working with the software solution. With around 600 users, the German Retail Trade Association (Berufsgenossenschaft des Deutschen Einzelhandels) is the largest user of the solution aside from the BVA. According to the "one for all" principle, all interested German authorities and administrative offices can use the system free of charge. The updated version FAVORIT 4.0 is currently being rolled out. It is based on an enterprise content management platform by EMC Documentum and Adobe Systems. EMC Documentum recently awarded the T-Systems solution the title "Best Software Offering 2006."
