CeBIT: Flexible IT services for small and medium-sized businesses

T-Systems customers benefit from dynamic hosting for Microsoft Navision®

Frankfurt, Germany, February 22, 2006

Small and medium-sized businesses increasingly rely on flexible outsourcing. At the world's largest computer trade fair, T-Systems will demonstrate how com-panies are able to reduce costs with a dynamic solution for Microsoft Navision®.
At CeBIT, T-Systems will present a new operational concept that is designed specifically for small and medium-sized businesses. With Dynamic Services for Microsoft Navision®, companies are able to cost-efficiently outsource the basic operation of application software to the ICT service provider's data center. The data center has been security-certified. Cus-tomers do not have to set up their own infrastructure for the standard en-terprise resource planning (ERP) system. This enables them to save costs and access the IT resources they need flexibly and on demand.
Customers can book on short notice the additional IT services they need for peak loads and then reduce them afterwards. This is perfect for fluctuating demands such as at the end of the year or during the holiday season. In the past, companies had to reserve expensive excess capacity for peak loads. T-Systems only invoices those services that have been or-dered according to time unit and quantity booked.
Since the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary holds data center resources for many customers in one large server pool, customers can flexibly call up these resources according to their individual demands. For customers, this dynamic resource availability means lower capital commitment and reduced IT costs.
In addition to the dynamic operating solution, T-Systems delivers the entire ERP value added chain for the implementation of the standard soft-ware Navision®, as well as custom solutions. The ICT service provider does this together with qualified partners as a general contractor. T-Systems provides comprehensive services to its customers in the ERP environment with consulting services, software installation, industry-specific software adaptation and development as well as hosting the Navision® application software.
